Account security is a team effort.

Here’s how we protect your account.

Use your face or fingerprint to add an extra layer of security to your accounts.

Instantly lock your debit or credit card if lost, stolen, or compromised for peace of mind.

Verify your identity in multiple ways for enhanced account security and protection.

With fraud attempts on credit unions projected to rise by nearly 10% in 2024, safeguarding your finances is our top priority at SkyPoint. We understand the financial and emotional toll fraud can take, which is why we’ve built a robust defense system to keep your money safe.

As a reminder, we will never reach out and ask you to provide personal information including social security number, debit or credit card numbers, and pins or passwords. If you receive any suspicious communication, please contact us immediately at [email protected] or 301.279.1964.

Common Scams

If you are unexpectedly contacted by phone, email, text, direct message, or pop-up with a request for personal information or money, be cautious. SkyPoint will never text, email, call, or visit you at home to ask for personal or account information. Remember to never click on links or download attachments from unknown sources.

If you receive an alarming phone call, email, or text that pressures you to act immediately and plays on your emotions, be cautious. Scammers may pose as employees from familiar organizations, such as SkyPoint, claiming there is a problem that needs urgent attention. Do not take any action unless you have verified the identity of the person who contacted you and confirmed the legitimacy of their story or request.

If you’re asked to pay in an unusual way, such as with gift cards, Bitcoin, prepaid debit cards, or digital currency, be cautious. SkyPoint will never ask you to transfer money to anyone, including yourself, and will never request a money transfer to resolve fraud detected on your account.

If you’re asked to provide personal or account information, such as an account verification code, bank account number, or PIN, be cautious. When in doubt, don’t give it out. SkyPoint will never text, email, or call you asking for an account authorization code.

If you’re offered a free product or a ‘get rich quick’ opportunity that seems too good to be true, be cautious. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Never cash a check for someone you don’t know.
